Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PET Preform Specialist/Injection Molding Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will lead the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of PET preform production processes, ensuring high-quality output and operational efficiency. Your expertise in plastics injection molding, process engineering, and automation will drive continuous improvement initiatives and support our commitment to manufacturing excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial automation and process innovation within a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and sustainability. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize PET preform injection molding processes to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards. Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations or defects, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and CAD schematics to design tooling, fixtures, and process layouts. Program and troubleshoot robotics and industrial automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and vision inspection systems. Lead cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality assurance, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve process flow and efficiency. Apply Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to identify waste reduction opportunities and enhance process performance. Manage project scheduling for process upgrades or new equipment installations, ensuring timely completion aligned with production goals. Oversee fabrication, tooling design, CNC programming, CAM programming, and mechanical troubleshooting related to injection molding equipment. Conduct engineering data analysis to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), support quality improvement programs in engineering, and ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
standards. Provide team leadership in manufacturing engineering activities, including training operators on new processes or equipment operation. Skills Extensive knowledge of plastics injection molding processes specific to PET preforms. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo for schematics and tooling design. Strong experience with industrial automation systems including robot programming, PLCs, vision inspection systems, CNC/CAM programming. Expertise in process improvement techniques like Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma within a manufacturing environment. Skilled in root cause analysis, troubleshooting complex engineering issues related to machinery or process deviations. Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance, fabrication techniques, welding, tooling design, and mechanical assembly. Ability to lead projects effectively using project management tools; experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments preferred. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics interpretation, industrial engineering principles, and factory safety standards such as
ISO 9001.
Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in robotics integration and industrial automation solutions. Pay:
