We are seeking an SCM Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SCM processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality. SCM Process Engineer Your Tasks Design, engineer, implement, and optimize SCM processes and its equipment (including sampling, shredding, melting and sample preparation) to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve output quality. Conduct necessary calculations + data analysis and develop statistical models to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to SCM challenges. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions. Conduct training and provide guidance to SCM staff to ensure adherence to established processes. Stay up to date with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to process engineering, sampling techniques and respective tooling/equipment. Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and operations staff to ensure successful process improvements. Execute the tasks following the working instructions. Take independent decisions on the process such as described in the tasks above. Execute all tasks in a safe way, including LOTOV of equipment with the maintenance technicians. Know environmental protection standards and regulations by Aurubis and apply to them. Know health and safety standards and regulations by Aurubis and apply to them. Know health and safety standards and regulations given by law. Other duties may be assigned based on skill level and company needs. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in process engineering, including experience with process design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Metallurgical process knowledge preferred. Strong understanding of process control principles, including experience with statistical process control. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and implement solutions to SCM challenges. Experience with data analysis and statistical modeling. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience in the Metal Recycling industry is a plus. Ability to comprehend complex problems. Effectively communicate targets and goals to his/her team. Ability to receive and give constructive feedback. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Able to successfully juggle multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability as an outstanding team player and a successful independent worker. Must be willing and physically able to observe and walk in a smelter environment. Must be willing and physically able to work in varying cold and heat situations. Could have times that are prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to travel throughout the facility as required to conduct audits and make observations Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas. Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
