Role Scope The Plant Process Engineer supports stable, high-quality plastics injection molding by refining processing windows, reducing scrap, and improving cycle efficiency at our Calhoun, GA plant (onsite, full time; Monday-Friday 7am-4pm, hours may vary).
Key responsibilities include:
Diagnose process variation using statistical analysis and structured problem-solving Optimize molding parameters and document validated process standards Partner with tooling and production to align mold design intent with robust processing Lead trials, analyze results, and drive corrective actions through implementation Required qualifications/skills: 3-5 years plastics injection molding experience 3-5 years hands-on processing experience Extensive knowledge of mold design Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude; statistical analysis capability If you bring disciplined processing expertise and want to elevate plant performance, apply to join EVCO Plastics as a Plant Process Engineer. Daily Rhythm As a Plant Process Engineer, you'll begin by reviewing prior-shift performance and current production priorities, then spend time at the presses confirming process stability and capturing real-time data. Midday often includes focused troubleshooting sessions, engineering reviews, and documentation updates so changes are controlled and repeatable. You'll close out the day aligning next steps with stakeholders, preparing trial plans or analysis summaries, and ensuring open items are clearly handed off for the next shift.
