Job DescriptionThe Human Factors Engineer provides human factors services to internal and external clients as part of a world-class team of human factors experts.

Responsibilities:

Work with clients to plan, manage, and execute HF activitiesWork within multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions using human factors principles and methods to contribute human factors expertise to the development processAnalyze use workflows, goals, tasks, and experiences to identify user needsCreate and execute all components of usability studiesConduct user-focused risk identification and assessment activities (e.g. use FMEA)Work with consumers and designers to evaluate concepts and existing products for improvement opportunities

Competencies:

Have passion, creativity, and ability necessary to solve challenging user and technical problemsKnowledge of, or direct experience with the use and application of anthropometric dataAwareness of/coursework in psychology, cognition, marketing, design, or product developmentAbility to balance theoretical tools and practical experimentation to develop concepts and ideasBe familiar with industry standards regarding human factors and usability (FDA, HE 75, ISO 62366) in the medical device development process

QualificationsQualifications:

Minimum BS or BSE in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Psychology or extensive formal education in human factors related areas2+ years of experience preferred working in a human factors capacity within the medical device / healthcare sectorExperience conducting usability studies and hazard analysis of use-related hazardsExperience creating experience maps, site/app maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypesExperience in research design as it relates to product developmentProficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, wireframing tools, and image/video editingAdditional InformationWhy Join Nemera?

$80,000 USD - $100,000 USD Salaried (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
