Job Description
Are you an experienced Process Technician with a strong background in plastic injection molding? We are hiring Process Technicians for two direct-hire opportunities in Elgin, IL, with openings available on both 2nd and 3rd shift. These Process Technician positions are hands-on roles focused on mold startups, setups, process troubleshooting, robot adjustments, and developing optimal molding processes. Perks & Benefits Direct-hire opportunity — join the company directly from day one $26-$31/hour, based on experience and shift Two openings available — 2nd shift and 3rd shift Hands-on technical position with a strong focus on process improvement and troubleshooting Must Haves 5+ years of experience with injection mold setup and process troubleshooting Strong working knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and various thermoplastics Experience performing mold setups, mold changes, and production mold startups Ability to operate mold-handling equipment and interpret molding graphs and process data Technical knowledge of microprocessor and non-microprocessor molding equipment What You'll Be Doing Perform daily production mold startups and establish effective molding processes Troubleshoot and optimize molding conditions to improve quality, efficiency, and process consistency Perform mold setups and changes and assist with preventive maintenance, including cleaning and greasing production molds Set up and make adjustments to robot programs supporting the molding process Work with Shift Supervisors and Process Engineers on troubleshooting, sampling, and continuous process improvement Nice to Haves Experience with RJG-style scientific molding principles Basic knowledge of the APQP process Strong experience troubleshooting different thermoplastics, molds, and molding conditions Experience working closely with Process Engineers on mold sampling and process development If you're the type of Process Technician who can look at a molding problem, understand what the process is telling you, and make the right adjustments to get production back where it needs to be, apply today for immediate consideration.
