Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Injection Mold Setup Person to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up late model injection molding machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will help streamline operations, maintain safety standards, and uphold quality control throughout the molding process. Duties Set up and calibrate injection molding machines, ensuring proper operation before production runs Install molds using hand tools, fabrication techniques, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Adjust machine parameters and troubleshoot issues related to plastics injection molding processes Maintain accurate documentation of setup procedures, machine settings, and inspection results Perform routine maintenance on machinery Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction Requirements Proven experience with plastics injection molding setup and operation in a manufacturing environment Mechanical knowledge of machinery Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately Knowledge of quality inspection standards and procedures for plastic parts Experience with fabrication processes such as machining and assembly Strong understanding of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations Warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift operation is a plus Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction Join our team to help produce top-quality plastic products while advancing your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
