JOB DESCRIPTION
Leaders Staffing's Direct Hire Division is seeking skilled Process Engineer for a full-time, permanent, direct hire position with a client in Allen County. Job Summary Lead product design, process development, and commercialization projects within a web converting manufacturing environment. Manage new product development from concept through manufacturing launch while driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives . Collaborate with customers, suppliers, engineering, operations, and quality teams to develop innovative manufacturing solutions. Provide technical leadership for complex projects while improving product reliability, efficiency, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead new product development (NPD) and commercialization projects. Gather and document customer requirements, product specifications, and performance criteria . Plan, coordinate, and execute product and process trials. Work with suppliers to source and qualify materials. Develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods . Create technical documentation including specifications, quality plans, SOPs, work instructions, and risk assessments. Support successful transfer of new products into production. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and process optimization initiatives. Develop project budgets, cost models, and capital expenditure estimates. Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and budgets. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , or related technical field. Minimum 10+ years of technical engineering experience in a web converting manufacturing environment. Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing experience supporting web converting operations. Experience with Project Management, New Product Development (NPD), Product Commercialization, Process Development, and Process Engineering . Strong background in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and manufacturing optimization . Experience developing technical specifications, quality systems, and manufacturing documentation . Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and technical reporting . Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.
