The successful Process Engineer will do the following: Lead Design & Development efforts and commercialize significant programs. Provide input into and support for opportunity development. Increase reliability and profitability of existing product lines through identification of and leading process improvement projects. Develop new processes to support business growth and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Meets with customers and internal staff to understand and document product requirements, features, benefits, and performance characteristics. Plans, coordinates, and documents trials to meet requirements. Works with suppliers to identify and specify appropriate materials. Develops manufacturing methods and coordinates the design of new process equipment. Creates product specifications, quality plans, test methods, work instructions, risk assessments, and other documentation. Ensures the smooth release of new products to manufacturing once development is complete. Optimizes and improves processes and systems once products have been released to manufacturing. Develops cost models and budgets for trials, commercial production, and capital expenditures. Manages complex projects with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, stay organized, meet cost, and time budgets, and drive to completion. Prepares reports, presentations, and spreadsheets.
