Contract Start-up Process Engineer This engineer is a site technical representative during commissioning and qualification (C&Q). They review and approve the technical documents that qualify a system. They work closely with the C&Q service provider, Operations, Technical Services (TSMS), and Automation during field execution of C&Q. The role runs from document preparation through completion of equipment handover to site. Key responsibilities 1. Technical review and approval of C&Q documents

• Review test cases for System Startup, System Shakedown, Installation Verification and Operational Verification. This covers pre-approval and post-execution review.
• Review and approve discrepancy reports as needed.
• Review turnover/handover documentation after mechanical completion (MC) and after completion of C&Q test cases. 2. Safety reviews and readiness
• Attend the MC walkdowns.
• Take part in the Pre-Functional Testing Safety Review walkthrough and document action items.
• Take part in developing commissioning lock out tag out (LOTO) plans.
• Participate in the Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) walkthrough. 3. Field execution
• Assist C&Q service provider in executing equipment setup and shakedown activities.
• Support C&Q test case execution by assisting with equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot and escalate issues/discrepancies during C&Q test case execution.
• Participate in daily C&Q execution planning huddles.
• Provide equipment support and troubleshooting during process support testing. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing, C&Q, engineering, or related field.
• Preferred experience in equipment commissioning and qualification.
• Preferred experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in process safety management (PSM) environments.
• Preferred experience writing and executing C&Q and engineering protocols.
• Ability to work in the field in a plant environment, including on shifts as necessary.
