Job Description

JSG is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer to lead the development and continuous improvement of our client's production systems. Based in Plymouth, this pivotal role offers the opportunity to impact key operations, enhance efficiency, and support cutting-edge food manufacturing initiatives. In this position, you will design, analyze, and refine state-of-the-art processes to meet ambitious output, quality, and cost goals. You'll collaborate across departments—R D, Quality, Purchasing, and Production—to translate small-scale pilot projects into robust, scalable manufacturing solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing new recipes, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and SQF. Pay $65/hour + and per diem for out of state candidates
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and SQF standards Proficiency with SAP, WinCC, HMI, SCADA, and PLC control systems Proven ability in process optimization, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with Aseptic (HTST) processing systems Skills in ladder logic programming or PLC control programming Familiarity with data archiving systems and process validation Knowledge of vessel usage, process parameters, and recipe management systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Food or Chemical Engineering At least 10 years' experience in food manufacturing process development and optimization Experience with new ingredient testing and scale-up procedures
Other Requirements:
