Job Description

ISP Chemicals LLC Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our Specialty Ingredients, business at our Calvert City, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the company, and the Plant Engineering and Operations functions. This position will report to the Process Technology Group Leader. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Follows site's Safety Policies and Procedures Investigate, discuss, and solve complex problems by interacting with manufacturing departments, contractors, and internal customers. Help further company culture of implementing new solutions and continually improve existing processes. Evaluate current systems and modify as appropriate to improve performance Determines root cause of chronic operating problems. Recommends and assists in implementing solutions Investigates opportunities to improve plant through-put, capacity, and implement cost savings opportunities. Analyzes production data and quality data to determine optimum operating conditions Utilizes Lean manufacturing techniques/tools for identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects Provides technical support for capital projects including creating function specification documents Support the site's environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and sustainability initiatives In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, other Engineering or Technology Degree 6 + years' chemical plant manufacturing experience Third party recruiters and agencies ("Agency") should not contact employees of Ashland or its subsidiaries directly.
