CNC Process Engineer / CNC Progammer (Mastercam)

CNC Process Engineer responsible for developing CNC programs, supporting new part start-ups, creating machining documentation, and coordinating manufacturing processes in a machine shop environment. Job Requirements Experience creating, implementing, and troubleshooting CNC programs for new part start-ups Experience with Mastercam or PartMaker Swiss machine programming experience strongly preferred, including Star and Citizen machines Experience working from customer drawings and 3D models Experience creating and modifying models to support machining and production Experience creating process documentation to support machinists Experience conferring with customers to clarify design or process requirements Experience working with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange purchase of equipment, materials, or parts Knowledge of secondary and finishing processes such as anodizing, chromate, heat treat, and grinding Ability to apply geometry, trigonometry, and machining math in process development Experience using CAD and CAM software Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology with 5+ years of process engineering experience in a machine shop environment 10+ years of process engineering or CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment Experience with SolidWorks Experience with CAM programming software beyond Mastercam and PartMaker Experience supporting project planning, workflow development, and process improvement in machining operations Job Responsibilities Create, implement, and troubleshoot CNC programs for new part start-ups Program parts using Mastercam, PartMaker, or other applicable CAM software Support Swiss machine programming for Star and Citizen equipment when applicable Review customer drawings and models to develop machining processes Create and modify models and generate documentation to support machinists and production Confer with customers to clarify or resolve issues related to design and process development Work with vendors to determine product specifications and support procurement of equipment, materials, and parts Evaluate vendor products against specifications and quality standards Support machining processes involving anodizing, chromate, heat treat, grinding, and related operations Develop workflows, procedures, and process documentation to support manufacturing efficiency and part quality Support project execution, process planning, and machining operations in a machine shop environment
