Your primary focus will be the creation, validation, and refinement of molding workflows to guarantee that our production remains consistent, high-performing, and cost-effective. This is a technical, floor-based role that requires a candidate who is comfortable working directly with the machinery rather than staying at a desk. You must possess significant, hands-on experience in injection molding processing.
Compensation Annual salary range:
$80,000 to $85,000. Core Duties Utilize scientific and decoupled molding methodologies to create and verify processes for both current and new tooling. Enhance molding settings to boost overall quality, minimize waste, and improve throughput and cycle times. Create and preserve official documentation for startup parameters and process standards. Execute machine startups and shutdowns while providing expert troubleshooting for auxiliary gear, molds, and presses. Help ensure reliable production outcomes by conducting capability studies, tooling qualifications, and DOEs. Deliver essential technical assistance for quality issues, sampling, and daily production needs. Seek out and implement upgrades for equipment, mold improvements, and initiatives to lower costs. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production departments to help maintain consistent process stability. Foster team growth by mentoring and training operators, technicians, and mold setters in advanced processing methods. Assist in technical dialogues, trials, and quoting processes with suppliers or clients. Maintain adherence to all relevant environmental and quality management standards. Professional Requirements A two-year technical degree or a comparable level of practical experience. At least 8 years of professional experience within an injection molding setting. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in plastic injection molding processing. Proven mastery of Scientific Injection Molding practices. Strong capabilities in root-cause analysis and technical troubleshooting. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and utilizing precision measurement tools. Experience in executing process capability studies and DOEs. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts is a plus. Competency in Microsoft Office software. Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively train team members. Operational Expectations This position is centered on the manufacturing floor and requires significant physical involvement. Expect to stand and move frequently within an industrial setting that involves noise and heat. Maintain a dedication to strict process discipline and workplace safety.
