Insight Global is seeking a Machining/Crankshaft Process Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturing client. This individual will be responsible for supporting and optimizing machining production lines in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, and skilled trades teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure production goals are met. Candidates should have strong CNC machining knowledge, experience with tooling and statistical process analysis, and a background in rotating or prismatic machining operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a critical production launch effort and make an immediate impact within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Day-to-Day:
- Report directly to Machining Process Leads
- Own and support machining production lines from start to finish
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and assist trades/operators when equipment breaks down
- Drive continuous process improvements and production efficiency
- Document and communicate end-of-shift notes and handoff information
- Utilize Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
- Interface with Rockwell and Siemens PLC systems
- Analyze process and quality data using QStat/QDAS
- Partner with production, maintenance, and manufacturing teams to ensure uptime and quality targets are achieved
Compensation:
$30/hr to $37.50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
