Job Description
Evaluate control systems, products, components, and applications. Assess new manufacturing and control technologies, adapting them into specifications as appropriate. Confirm control system functionality, including safety compliance, by designing and executing test procedures. Prepare and review electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls drawings for equipment purchases, collaborating with related engineering teams to evaluate components, materials, and suppliers. Manage supplier development and delivery. Keep equipment operating and improve uptime by performing periodic audits, troubleshooting breakdowns, requesting supplies, defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans, calling for repairs, and implementing process improvements. Maintain project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates. Maintain PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and archive PLC programs and machine controls drawings in electronic format. Implement and maintain a data collection system from plant floor processing equipment. Participate in PFMEA analysis and act as a knowledge leader for lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement projects. Identify and implement error-proofing requirements throughout the production process. Identify and plan for process impacts as a result of engineering and launch changes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor - Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree.Experience:
Two (2) year in the position above, as a Production Line Engineer, or in a related engineering role Experience must include: 1.Advanced Quality Planning and Analysis:
APQP, PFMEA2.
PLC and Control Systems:
PLC Programming, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix3.Design and Visualization Software:
AutoCAD, Phoenix PC Works, RSView4.Industrial Communication Networks:
