Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activity and development Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products Develop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions on internal processes and supplier processes Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with drivetrain guidelines Conduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required Analyze vehicle inventory root causes; engage in mapping and corrective actions to reduce vehicle inventory Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes Deliver capable processes and tools for gears machining processes Hypoid Blade development and tool life improvements Milling and Hobbing machining development Heat treat distortion and fire checks validation Shot peening (Compressive Residual Stress) Anneal and tempering process Hypoid Lapping and Grinding development CMM inspection setups and validation
Requirements:
5+ yrs of related experience Manufacturing Processes Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in Client (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Preferred:
Data Analysis, Data Collection Bevel Gear Grinding and Lapping, Hob and Milling. Bevel process understanding (blanking, grinding, lapping, honing, shot peening) Bevel gear software (Gleason and Klingenberg systems) P40 & Gleason Nano CMM Effective oral and written communication skills Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skills DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
Experience Required:
Experience in Hypoid gear development or Data analytics.
Experience Preferred:
Well verse in Excel and other data analytics software
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Engineering Additional Information:
Data collection and presentation during the Hypoid Bevel development. Fully onsite.
