This role will develop and optimize injection molding processes, support new mold sampling and process development, troubleshoot production issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with new mold sampling and developing new processes for new molds. Key Responsibilities Develop robust injection molding processes using scientific molding techniques , including gate freeze analysis, short shot analysis, and other process development methods. Lead new mold sampling and process development for new tooling. Establish and optimize process parameters for injection molding operations. Develop processes using decoupled molding principles and scientific molding techniques. Maintain engineering documentation, including DOE reports, process sheets, water diagrams, and other technical files. Partner with Quality to validate injection molding processes using sound statistical methods. Author test protocols and execute validation protocols in accordance with ISO and FDA medical device requirements . Lead continuous improvement projects focused on process capability, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction. Conduct failure investigations and use structured problem-solving and statistical methods to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to setup sign-off. Provide technical training and coaching to peers and Process Technicians. Promote a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing environment. Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
