Position Description:

Seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer with expertise in plastic injection molding within automotive manufacturing. The ideal candidate will develop, optimize, and troubleshoot injection molding processes, addressing tooling issues, defects, and process parameters. This role involves supporting new product launches, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring process stability to meet high-volume automotive quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to deliver quality, efficiency, and cost objectives.

Top Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Plastics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of molding processes and tooling issues
  • Strong understanding of injection molding machines, molds, robotics, and auxiliary equipment
  • Experience with automotive quality systems (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP)
  • Knowledge of thermoplastics and processing characteristics
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and apply scientific molding methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, Green Belt certification preferred
