Job Description
Job Description R&D Leverage is currently looking for a highly motivated Injection Molding Process Engineer with injection molding experience and strong mechanical aptitude to join our talented team. With the right individual, this role has the potential to grow into a senior technical position responsible for aiding in the design and development of high cavitation and high precision injection molds. Nature of assignments, duties, and responsibilities
- Responsible for all areas of the injection molding floor
- Keep all production molds running at established process parameters
- Maintain all molding equipment including molding machines and auxiliary equipment
- Work closely with Mold Design engineers to qualify high precision/high cavitation injection molds per customer requirements including IQ, OQ, and PQ
- Aid in the design and development of new injection molds by bringing processing knowledge to the Mold Design team
- Run full Moldflow Fill, Pack, Cooling, and Warp simulations to optimize mold designs Requirements
- A working understanding of mold qualifications using Scientific Molding or RJG molding techniques.
- RJG Master Molder Certification is a plus
- RDL will train the right individual
- A working understanding of complex injection molds.
- Functional knowledge of injection molding machines including hydraulic, electric, and hybrid machines.
- Working knowledge of statistical process control including Cp and Cpk
- Familiar with GMP and ISO guidelines
- Experience with the start-up, process development and troubleshooting of new tooling
- Detailed understanding of decoupled injection molding
- Hands on experience with the installation of high precision molds into molding machines
- Ability to problem solve machine systems and auxiliary equipment
- Ability to read and understand tooling prints
- Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
