Full Time (30 Hours or More) Job Requirements and Properties Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Full Time Job Description . Seeking individual with process and tooling troubleshooting experience in a plastic molding environment to join a company producing parts with tight tolerances, undercuts, thin walls, and government regulated quality requirements. Support the Product Development group through:
  • Using mold-filling simulation software to evaluate and optimize new mold designs and evaluate issues with existing tooling.
  • Calculating gate locations, clamp pressure requirements, injection speed, fill time, flow restrictions, shot size, injection pressure, pressure distribution, venting issues, temperatures, weld lines, etc.
  • Analyzing packing, warpage, and cooling to predict and prevent distortions and sinks.
  • Working with the product design team for manufacturability issues.
  • Evaluating and advising machinists on mold and tooling fabrication.
Additional Information Help for Additional Information. Requires experience with multi-cavity tooling, mold filling software, experience with plastics processing, knowledge of toolmaking, etc. Requires degree in engineering, mathematics, sciences, or related field. Total earning potential to $120,000 from start with competitive salary and excellent bonus.
