The Process Engineer provides expert level engineering, process and management support to municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants in Operating Services.
Responsibilities:
Identifies causes of poor wastewater treatment plant performance and provides recommendations to plant staff and/or client to resolve deficiencies Provides recommendations to Inframark staff and clients on facility process and equipment changes Performance modeling of the operation and maintenance of wastewater processes and systems Identification of capital improvements for projects and capital efficiency opportunities Reviews capital investment proposals to ensure that the most cost effective solution is promoted Provides engineering and process support to existing projects, including training Provides recommendations for enhancement and optimization of wastewater treatment plant performance Reviews potential of new technologies for application to facilities we operate or plan to operate Manages changes to wastewater process model Delivers technical recommendations in written reports and presentations to clients, including municipal governing bodies Ability to independently define the problem, investigate, analyze relevant data and provide potential resolutions to engineering problems Exceptional understanding of municipal wastewater treatment equipment and processes utilized in the US Ability to evaluate and interpret engineering specifications, design drawings and other technical data Ability to evaluate plant operations and maintenance functions at wastewater treatment facilities Understanding of municipal wastewater treatment process theory Ability to independently perform mathematical modeling of wastewater treatment facilities Works well with staff and client at all levels Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software Possess a valid driver's license BS or MS degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering At least 10 years of engineering experience in design and operation of municipal wastewater treatment and conveyance systems including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems. Experience in asset management preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and
REGISTRATIONS
Licensed Professional Engineer preferred Highest level of state wastewater operator certification preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
