full-time CNC Process Engineer The CNC Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC machining processes to ensure efficiency, precision, and high-quality production output. This individual will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, focusing on tooling, programming, and process improvements. Responsibilities Design, implement, and refine CNC machining processes. Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and parameters for optimal performance. Reduce cycle times, scrap, and rework through continuous improvement. Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, G Code. Develop detailed process plans and work instructions for operators. Ensure proper tooling design and setup for precision machining. Collaborate with Quality Control for first-piece inspections. Apply statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis for defects. Diagnose machining issues and implement corrective actions. Provide technical support to production teams and operators Train staff on CNC processes and best practices. Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions and PFMEA Support to implement lean manufacturing principles Collect and analyze data to implement improvements (cycle time, efficiency). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining or process engineering. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining techniques, and CAD/CAM tools. Ability to analyze process data and identify inefficiencies. Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
