ABEC's products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, comprehensive site services, and stainless steel and single use bioprocess equipment, including bioreactors and fermenters, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilization systems.
Position Summary:
The Process Scientist Intern will support the Process Science team through a combination of project-based assignments and daily scientific and technical activities. This internship provides exposure to bioprocess development, data analysis, process optimization, and technical investigations within the biopharmaceutical industry. The intern will contribute to departmental goals by assisting with process evaluations, documentation, and laboratory or manufacturing-related activities while also leading or supporting up to three meaningful projects designed to improve process efficiency, data insights, or operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Process Sciences team on internal and external projects to ensure successful process development, process characterization and scale-up/down execution. Prepare protocols for experiment execution, analytical methods, and validation. Generate reports related to experiment execution, analytical methods, and validation. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Execute other assigned tasks. Requirements Enrolled in a degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Sciences field (Biological, Chemical, Physics, or equivalent experience). Self-motivated
