Job Description
Sugaright seeks a Process Engineer to optimize liquid sugar manufacturing operations at our regional refineries. You will analyze process data, improve yields, reduce waste, and enhance safety and quality in a lean, process-driven environment. Responsibilities include designing and implementing process improvements, supporting commissioning and trials, developing SOPs, troubleshooting equipment and controls, and collaborating with production, quality, and logistics. You will drive continuous improvement, support customer-specific specifications, and contribute to sustainable, efficient sugar solutions for food and beverage customers. Responsibilities Analyze and optimize liquid sugar manufacturing processes for yield, quality, and efficiency Identify, design, and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives Support equipment commissioning, trials, and scale-up of new or modified processes Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with operations and maintenance teams Monitor process data and KPIs, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions Collaborate with quality to meet product specifications and food safety requirements Partner with logistics and production to ensure reliable, on-time customer supply Lead or support lean and continuous improvement projects in the refinery Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Required Skills Process engineering Chemical engineering principles Process optimization Statistical process control (SPC) Data analysis and reporting Lean manufacturing Six Sigma methodologies Equipment troubleshooting Food safety and GMP knowledge HACCP principles P&ID and process documentation Root cause analysis Project management MS Excel and data tools Process control systems
