Schedule:
2nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) Responsibilities Own and maintain all paint shop processes, including chemical systems, circulation, and lab functions Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions Support production goals across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency Develop and maintain standard work for paint and production processes Support new product launches and process integration Partner with maintenance, engineering, and vendors to improve performance and reduce costs Use data to make informed operational decisions and identify improvement opportunities Promote a strong team environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and problem-solving Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related experience Experience in automotive, paint systems, or manufacturing environments Strong understanding of production processes and continuous improvement methods Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees Knowledge of quality systems, process flows, and product launches Proficiency in Microsoft Office Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc.
