POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Piezoelectric Ceramic Engineer to join our advanced materials team. The engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling processing techniques for lead-based piezoelectric ceramics , ensuring high performance, yield, and reliability in production. This role bridges R D and manufacturing, focusing on ceramic powder preparation, forming, sintering, electrode integration, and characterization to support next-generation piezoelectric materials.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and optimize ceramic processing routes (powder synthesis, milling, spray drying, pressing, wet and dry green forming, etc.) for piezoelectric ceramic materials. Establish sintering schedules and thermal processing conditions to achieve targeted microstructures and electromechanical properties. Characterize ceramic materials (density, grain size, phase purity, dielectric/piezoelectric properties) and correlate with processing parameters. Conduct comprehensive powder and microstructural characterization of ceramics—including particle size distribution, SEM, EDS, and XRD—and establish correlations with processing parameters Execute process trials, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve quality, consistency, and yield. Scale laboratory processes to pilot and production environments while maintaining cost and efficiency targets. Document experimental results, prepare technical reports, and present findings to cross-functional teams and management. o Apply statistical methods (including control charts and data correlation) to monitor, interpret, and optimize production performance.
