Job Description

As an ICS Engineer specializing in SCADA and Industrial Control System (ICS) projects, you will be responsible for the design review, development, implementation, and support of SCADA and control system solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial automation systems, control system architecture, and operational processes, along with the ability to provide engineering support for complex projects and field operations. The position includes developing, improving, and supporting new and existing equipment used in landfills, wastewater treatment facilities, bio-gas extraction systems, renewable energy plants, recycling technology, and organics processing applications. Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Duties This position will be responsible to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level day-to-day support of all automated and electro-mechanical process control systems used in landfills, wastewater, bio-gas extraction, renewable energy, recycling technology, and organics processing. Serve as a subject matter expert in SCADA and ICS technologies, offering technical direction and support to project teams. Expected results from this position includes remote and on-site support of automated systems, troubleshooting of automated process equipment and process systems, execution of site change controls, aiding in the investigation of process deviations, and providing expertise for process evaluation and product improvements for better quality, yields while maintaining the highest level of safety. This position will support the highly complex automated systems and equipment installed in new and existing facilities. Must provide automation site support interface with operations personnel, compliance, information systems, engineering, and maintenance. Must exhibit strong customer communication skills and have technical knowledge of automated and electro-mechanical process control systems and equipment. Training of the local operators and managers on the proper operation of their respective equipment and SCADA system(s). Skills Proficient with Rockwell Automation platforms including Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk View ME/SE, and PlantPAx, with the ability to develop, modify, troubleshoot, and support process control applications. Experience developing and supporting HMI applications using PanelView, Maple Systems, and similar operator interface platforms. Experience with GE/Emerson, AutomationDirect, and Siemens PLC platforms is a plus. Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition Perspective and Ignition SCADA platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, HART, ControlNet, and DeviceNet. Understanding of industrial process engineering and control system design principles. Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings across a variety of industrial processes. Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of AC/DC control circuitry and industrial control panel design. Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, and related equipment. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable NFPA standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Experience 3-5+ years of experience with industrial electrical controls, automation, SCADA, control systems, instrumentation, and process design.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
