An established engineering and industrial technologypany is seeking a Controls / Process Control Engineer to design and implement controls solutions forplex industrial systems, working from initial engineering concepts through programming,missioning, and field support.
This is a remote position for candidates living in Minnesota or Wisconsin, with occasional visits to thepany's Vadnais Heights, MN office and approximately 10% travel throughout the United States. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer whobines strong controls experience with mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of industrial instrumentation and fluid power systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support industrial control systems.
Program and modify Allen-Bradley PLCs and control systems.
Develop and support process control applications for industrial equipment and facilities.
Work with industrial instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters, switches, and other field devices.
knowledge of hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems to industrial automation and process control applications.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, controls, instrumentation, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Develop control strategies, I/O documentation, electrical schematics, and system specifications.
Participate in equipment startup,missioning, troubleshooting, and field support.
Provide technical support forplex automation and process control issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
At least 3 years of engineering experience with an emphasis on controls and automation.
Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and software.
Industrial process control experience.
Experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems.
Strong project management andanizational skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and solveplex industrial problems.
Strongmunication skills and ability to work directly with customers and field personnel.
Ability to travel approximately 10% throughout the United States.
Must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
