www.viskase.com Viskase operates a viscose chemical extrusion facility in Loudon, Tennessee and is seeking a student to fill a full-time 15-month position as a co-op student in the Corporate Process Engineering department. The Engineering Co‑Op Program provides students with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting process improvement, quality, and efficiency initiatives. The program develops practical engineering skills while building a pipeline of talent aligned with the organization's operational needs. Key Responsibilities Support Corporate Process Engineering activities.
Including the following:
Work on setting up Asset Framework and tag points in newly installed PI System Assist with the installation of instrumentation and hardware on new process machine under construction. Programming of Instrumentation Maintain revisions and updates to drawings, P&IDs and project spread sheets. Assist with Inventory Control. Order and track materials as needed for Engineering projects. Assist engineers in preparing design documentation. Technical interface with external and internal customers. Assist plant operations in a technical capacity with troubleshooting controls related issues Other tasks as assigned
Education and Requirements Education:
Completion of 2 years of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering program or a program in a closely related field (required)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent Written & Verbal communication Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. The co-op student is always expected to work safely, in accordance with Viskase policies & procedures and generally recognized best practices. The co-op student should be eager to learn - there is a large learning curve to the chemical & mechanical processes taking place at Viskase.
