Functions /
Duties:
Responsible for driving Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) across X-FAB owned technologies processed in X-FAB Texas while maintaining process integration ownership and technical oversight of assigned technologies. The engineer will identify and execute improvement opportunities related to yield, cycle time, quality, capacity, cost reduction, manufacturability, and process robustness. The role serves as the technical interface between the fab, product engineering, process engineering, and customers to ensure sustainable continuous improvement while supporting technology integration activities. The engineer will design and execute experiments, analyze manufacturing and electrical data, lead cross-functional improvement teams, and provide technical guidance to process engineering on product and process interactions.Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement Leadership Lead Continuous Improvement Projects focused on yield, quality, cycle time, cost, capacity, and process robustness. Utilize statistical analysis and DOE methodologies to identify and implement process improvements. Develop business cases and track project benefits through measurable KPIs. Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring issues. Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements. Present project status, savings, and performance metrics to management and stakeholders. Support Process Freeze and Production Release readiness through capability and performance improvements. Process Integration / Yield Enhancement Maintain technical ownership of assigned technologies and provide integration support. Analyze process and probe yield performance. Design process tests and characterize product/process interactions. Provide guidance to process engineering regarding process changes and product impact. Interface with local and remote product engineering organizations and customers. Support failure analysis activities and disposition of parametric excursions. Summarize, present, and publish experimental and technical findings Current Skills /Competencies:
Curve tracer experience Understanding of parametric test structures use and layout Strong Device Physics or Semiconductor Physics knowledge WBG/SiC Device Physics manufacturing knowledge Understanding of process flow and interactions Project management skills Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work seamlessly with individuals from multiple nationalities. Proven team worker & self-starter Flexibility (work schedules may vary) Good problem solving & decision making skills Technical understanding of 0.6 to 2um Mixed signal CMOS technology and High power semiconductors Technical understanding of WBG/SiC processes An understanding of Wafermap and data analysis techniques. Knowledge of the XPERT Manufacturing System is a plus Must meet ITAR Citizenship requirementsMinimum Educational Requirements:
