Job Summary The Chemist applies basic chemistry principles, theories, and concepts to assigned work where established precedents exist. This role supports research and development activities by solving problems using foundational scientific knowledge and contributing to the development of technologies, products, processes, and systems. The position operates in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Apply fundamental chemistry principles, theories, and concepts to routine assignments Use basic scientific knowledge to analyze data and solve problems of limited scope and complexity Contribute to research and development efforts for new or improved technologies, products, processes, and systems Perform all work in accordance with safety standards while identifying opportunities to improve safety practices Manage multiple tasks and requests simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support project objectives Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline Ability to work independently under general supervision Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory or data management systems Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an industrial, laboratory, or research environment Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or other sample/data tracking platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple organizational levels Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable with a creative problem-solving mindset Pre-Employment Requirements Background check Drug screening Physical examination
