Job Description

ACME Concrete Paving is seeking a Grade Control Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring precision and efficiency in our paving operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing grade control systems, including Total Stations and machine control equipment, and collaborating with project teams to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, calibrate, and maintain total stations and machine control systems for paving equipment. Coordinate with surveyors to establish and verify control points. Assist the Project Superintendent in developing and implementing grade control plans. Troubleshoot and resolve grade control system issues to minimize downtime. Ensure accurate and efficient transfer of digital project data to equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of setup procedures and control point data.
Qualifications:
Experience with Total Stations and machine control systems (Leica, Trimble, Topcon, or similar). Strong understanding of construction survey practices and control point layout. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and digital models. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work in outdoor construction environments and adapt to project demands. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Experience in concrete paving or heavy civil construction. Familiarity with
GPS/GNSS
survey equipment and software.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $100,000 / year
