$100,000 - $115,000 + up to 20% bonus

SUMMARYA

leading specialty paper manufacturer is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to support and enhance mill-wide automation, instrumentation, and control systems. This role will focus on improving process reliability, optimizing production performance, supporting capital projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across a complex manufacturing operation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport and improve DCS, PLC, HMI, and industrial network systems throughout the facility.

Develop, modify, and troubleshoot control strategies, machine logic, and operator interfaces.

Lead process optimization efforts through control loop tuning, data analysis, and performance monitoring.

Partner with operations and maintenance teams to identify and resolve process and equipment issues.

Maintain instrumentation, electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, and related automation equipment.

Utilize process historians and manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Process Controls, or related discipline) - preferred but not requiredWorking knowledge of DCS, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communications networks.

Experience with instrumentation, electrical systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives Experience in paper, pulp, tissue, chemical, or other continuous-process manufacturing environments is preferred.
