This position will support and lead surface transportation and related civil infrastructure projects throughout Alaska, from preliminary engineering and field reconnaissance through final design, bidding, and construction support. This is an opportunity to work on a wide range of public and private civil engineering projects while contributing to practical, meaningful infrastructure in Alaska's unique environment. What you will do Under the general direction of a Principal, you will lead projects for public and private surface transportation and similar infrastructure improvements - including preliminary engineering & field reconnaissance thru final design & advertising. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, survey, utility, traffic, hydrology, electrical, right-of-way, and construction personnel. Prepare and oversee production of engineering deliverables, including plans, specifications, estimates, calculations, design reports, and other technical documents. Support construction administration and inspection efforts. Contribute to project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, EITs, designers, and technical staff. Occasionally travel within Alaska for site visits and progress inspections.
