Project Engineer - Kodiak, Alaska Osborne Construction Company | Kodiak, AK Osborne Construction Company (OCC) is an employee-owned general contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Alaska and the western United States. With offices in Redmond, WA, Fairbanks, and Anchorage, we specialize in a wide range of construction projects and are proud of the professionalism, expertise, and dedication of our team. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Kodiak, Alaska. This role is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys being involved in all phases of a project and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Compensation:
$100,000-$125,000 DOE.
  • All living expenses paid while living in Kodiak. What You'll Do
  • Support project teams in planning, directing, and coordinating construction activities to ensure successful project execution
  • Assist with pre-construction activities, including bid packages, procurement planning, estimating, and project setup
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Assist superintendents with quality control reviews and jobsite safety efforts
  • Support project managers with change order documentation and pricing information
  • Manage the submittal process, including tracking, review coordination, and documentation
  • Generate, track, and maintain Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and project documentation
  • Walk jobsites regularly to review progress, document conditions, and capture project photos
  • Assist with schedule updates and project tracking activities
  • Review subcontractor pay requests and support project financial administration
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all project requirements
  • Travel as required to support project needs What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required. Relevant experience will be strongly considered.
  • 7+ years of construction experience supporting commercial, multifamily, hospitality, or other large-scale construction projects
  • Experience supporting projects valued at $35M+ preferred
  • Knowledge of building construction means and methods, drawings, specifications, and project coordination practice
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction scheduling software
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail What We Offer
