The Opportunity As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, designing, and managing municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects. You'll work on a wide range of civil engineering assignments with a strong emphasis on hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and public infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is passionate about technical excellence, client service, and developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
Develop engineering solutions for:
Stormwater management systems Pond design Drainage infrastructure Collection and conveyance systems Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables. Coordinate permitting efforts with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Prepare engineering reports, studies, cost estimates, and technical documentation. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams. Support business development efforts and contribute to the continued growth of the civil engineering practice. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama, or the ability to obtain Alabama licensure through reciprocity. 10-15 years of progressive civil engineering experience. Experience managing municipal, transportation, water resources, or public infrastructure projects. Strong project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
