Job Description
Overview We are looking for a Building Engineer to join our large scale production team! You will be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing building systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using schematics, hand tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters. Manage building interior maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry repairs, and general facility upkeep to enhance the environment's appearance and functionality. Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications of building components. Support safety protocols by adhering to electrical codes, plumbing standards, and building regulations while performing repairs or upgrades. Collaborate with team members or contractors on all projects. Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and ensure occupant safety. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building engineering roles with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems repair, and general building upkeep. Hands-on knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, plumbing layouts Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools safely; welding skills and welding machine maintenance are a plus. Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge is required!
