Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The PE is a critical member of the project team, providing technical and administrative support throughout all phases of construction. This role ensures seamless coordination between the office and field, actively manages project documentation and communication, and contributes to the successful execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Duties Assist the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and coordination Collaborate with the Superintendent and field teams to solve day-to-day construction issues Support the preparation and management of project execution plans, logistics, and startup activities Draft, track, and manage RFI's, meeting minutes, change orders, and other project related documents Review, track, and manage all project submittals Create and maintain procurement logs and assist with material buyout and delivery tracking Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes for owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings Conduct owner, architect and contractor meetings Ensure organized communication between internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and design professionals Participate in quality assurance and control efforts, including document reviews and inspections Assist in site safety and OSHA compliance in collaboration with the Superintendent and Safety Manager Ensure all construction work adheres to project specifications, plans, and applicable building codes Support monitoring of project costs and job cost reports Track schedule milestones and assist with updates to the construction schedule (Primavera P6 or equivalent) Participate in forecasting, budget reviews, and cost-control activities in coordination with the PM Review subcontractor invoices and change orders and make recommendations to the PM Support VDC/BIM coordination, modeling, and clash detection Contribute to punch list completion and preparation of closeout documentation Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. 3+ years of experience in commercial construction Proficiency in MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, highly desirable Require OSHA 10 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges on-site.
