The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Project Engineer OR Assistant Project Manager to play a key role on ground-up commercial builds, supporting project execution from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will take ownership of critical project engineering functions while collaborating closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage RFIs, submittals, and document control processesSupport ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finishAssist in schedule development, cost tracking, and project forecastingCoordinate with field teams, subcontractors, architects, and ownersReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractsTrack procurement, manage material deliveries and buyout supportHelp drive quality control and safety compliance effortsParticipate in OAC meetings and maintain strong stakeholder communicationSupport change order management and project financial trackingAssist with project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentationQualifications3+ years of commercial construction experience (5+ ideal for senior level)Strong experience supporting ground-up construction projectsProficiency handling RFIs, submittals, and project documentationWorking knowledge of construction drawings, specs, and workflowsExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar platformsExcellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred ExperienceExposure to municipal/public sector projects (fire stations, county buildings, K-12, civic, infrastructure, etc.)Experience working for a top-tier GCStrong Tenure at previous employers is a MUSTDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred, but open to candidates withoutFamiliarity with Phoenix-area subcontractors and permitting processesDemonstrated leadership potential and interest in career growth into PMWhy JoinTop ENR GC with strong reputation and solid project pipeline for years to comeGround-up commercial and public projectsCollaborative, team-oriented culture with low turnoverClear path to Project Manager and beyond, if desiredCompetitive base salary ($90K-$125K) + bonus + full benefitsBenefitsCompetitive Base Salary401(k) with company matchMedical/Dental/Vision insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistance
