High school diploma Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the construction industry (carpentry, general construction, project management, or related field) Demonstrated hands-on expertise with construction tools, materials, techniques, and safety protocols Strong commitment to student success and ability to work effectively with high school-aged youth Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment for diverse learners Enthusiasm for building a new program and willingness to be flexible and innovative Commitment to equity, culturally responsive teaching practices, and supporting the needs of diverse learners Willingness to complete California CTE credential requirements while employed (for candidates who do not already hold a CTE credential)
