The Role The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with design and analysis of structures or structural elements, providing contract administrative duties associated with the project, routine correspondence, field dimensioning, and meeting project schedules. Responsibilities Assist in the development, preparation, and finalization of project documents. Responsible for contract administration duties, such as responding to RFI's, and checking shop drawings / submittals. Designs load-bearing structures or structural elements. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Develops plans and specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure.
