Training Delegation Full Job Description Chief Engineer:
Staybridge Suites Irvine- John Wayne Airport Position Summary Staybridge Suites Irvine is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the hotel's Maintenance department.
Qualifications include:
Minimum 4 years of general building maintenance and/or construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry. Previous hotel engineering/maintenance experience strongly preferred. Previous supervisory or department-leadership experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage preventive maintenance schedules, checklists, vendors, inspections, and deadlines. Ability to train, coach, delegate, follow up, and hold team members accountable. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Appropriate professional certifications or licenses where required. The standard for this position is proactive maintenance, not reactive maintenance. Our Chief Engineer should take pride in developing a capable team and maintaining the hotel at a high standard every day—before a guest complaint, equipment failure, inspection, or audit tells us something needs attention.Pay:
$28.00- $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0
