Company Description:

SMC Construction - Contracting is a general contractor headquartered in Reno, NV. We are currently working on a large hotel-resort-casino project at the north shore of Lake Tahoe and in need of qualified personnel.

Role Description:
Project Engineer:

Full-time, on-site role, based in

Crystal Bay, NV:

Reviewing drawings, managing requests for information (RFI's) and submittals, and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, etc. Maintaining accurate documentation, supporting cost and change order management, and ensuring field work complies with design drawings and specifications, codes, and safety standards. Collaborating with SMC and subcontractor project managers and superintendents to resolve technical issues, support quality control, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications:

Strong computer skills (MS office, teams, outlook, excel, word, etc. or similar) with knowledge in construction RFI and Submittal tracking software being beneficial. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to read an interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge with construction scheduling software is beneficial. Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a detail-oriented and comprehensive approach.
