Project Engineer Lancaster, CA $50,000

  • Full-time California Compaction Corporation has been helping shape California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada for over 34 years.
Our goal is to continue building long-term relationships with our new clients and within the community in which we work and live in. We are a full-service General Engineering Site Development Contractor. We can take your project from start to finish. Projects can range from 25 lot residential subdivisions to heavy industrial or clean energy of any size. We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our Project Managers on active project sites with the day-to-day tasks. This role will be based at our Lancaster, CA office and will require some travel depending on the stage of each project.
Responsibilities:
Organization of project material Coordination between clients, suppliers, employees Materials Coordination & Ordering Office & Field coordination Report preparation & analysis Track daily production and cost to ensure profitability Verify quantities claim by foreman, revise if needed Serve as the primary point of contact between the project site and office, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards Review revised contract documents, quantify changes and work with the estimating team to generate change order requests.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience with a heavy civil, electrical, or mechanical contractor Working with Blueprints & Plans (including takeoffs via Bluebeam) Background with a civil contractor or EPC needed HCSS or BlueBeam, and Microsoft experience Generate RFIs and submittals Monitor construction progress and conduct regular site visits to maintain project oversight Comfortable with heavy lifting and varied weather conditions Clean driving record Be able to pass a drug screen
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position requires working on construction sites in extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust and focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, kneel, bend, reach with hands and arms, hear, and talk.
