Project Engineer

Project Engineer I Soracco, Inc. - Heavy Civil Public Works Contractor Northern California Soracco, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer I to join our growing heavy civil construction team. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in public works infrastructure and gain hands-on experience managing complex underground utility and roadway projects throughout Northern California. At Soracco, Inc., Project Engineers are actively involved in day-to-day project operations and work directly with field crews, superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and public agencies. Unlike large corporate contractors, our team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where individuals are given real responsibility, direct exposure to project execution, and opportunities for rapid growth. Our work includes underground wet utilities, sanitary sewer, water systems, storm drain, pump stations, roadway improvements, grading, and site development projects for public agencies throughout the region. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations Track project quantities, production, and costs Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractors, and vendors Support project scheduling and short-term planning efforts Attend project meetings with owners, inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors Assist with preparation of monthly pay applications and contract administration Review plans, specifications, and contract documents Support field operations and help resolve construction issues in real time Maintain organized project records and reporting Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and public agency procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required. Base Salary Range:

$75,000 - $110,000 The rage displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role, level, geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other factors.
