Position Summary:
We are hiring multiple Project Engineers to support large-scale heavy civil and infrastructure projects across Oceanside, San Diego, and Los Angeles . Project Engineers will assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and subcontractor coordination while ensuring project requirements are met. These full-time, on-site roles are suited for professionals with a strong foundation in transportation, water, wastewater, or public works construction who are looking to grow their careers. The position also offers a clear pathway into Project Management for long-term advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract administration. Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to coordinate field operations. Monitor project budgets, cost control, and forecasting to maintain financial performance. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control regulations. Review engineering plans, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability. Assist in procurement and materials management to support construction activities. Perform site visits and field inspections to track progress and resolve technical challenges. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in heavy civil infrastructure construction Quality Control experience preferred Strong knowledge of contract administration, scheduling (Primavera P6), and cost tracking Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and HCSS HeavyBid Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with project teams Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

$110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
