Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. This position is fully onsite with a 4/10 schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role it requires experience in metallic structural analysis methods and documentation, detailed analysis procedures, load paths, load distribution, sizing, fittings/fasteners/joints/splices, acoustics/vibration familiarity, structural integrity plan, design criteria, stability, crippling, durability analysis and finite element modeling of structure. Desired skills include familiarity with layout sizing, and structural integrity evaluations. Basic Qualifications:

• Basic Qualifications for a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer include a Bachelor's of Science degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis or MS degree in STEM with 3 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis or PhD degree in STEM with 1 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing structural analysis on the F35 Program, and familiar with the Lockheed Martin tools such as IMAT, IDAT, and PDM.

• Experience in finite element analysis/modeling techniques, including manipulation of large finite element models. .

Primary Level Salary Range:

$114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
