Job Description
Preeminent Engineering Services Provider is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Building Engineer to service a commercial building Redwood. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter, team player, and has excellent people skills. Purpose of the Job The Engineer will assists in the management of the facility infrastructure and building systems in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position is expected to self-supervise and monitor outside vendors who perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing within the buildings. The Building Engineer must make repairs as needed in support of the facility under the direction of the Property Manager. Requirements The Building Engineer position requires a minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Building Engineer. Previous experience with HVAC, Package Units, Chillers, VAVs, and Pneumatic Controls, Water Source Heat Pumps, Cooling Towers, Boilers, BMS/EMS, Lighting, General Maintenance, Controls, and Vendor Management. Knowledge of Local Codes, ADA, and OSHA is a requisite. Candidates must be fully competent with Smart phone technology, able to communicate verbally and in writing, familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Budgets and Monthly Reporting. Experience with construction activities such as attending construction meetings with Landlord, contractors and tenants and being part of the process to review scope of work and monitoring construction activity.
