Full Job Description Project Engineer About Us:

Metropolitan Electric is a well-established electrical company in the San Francisco Bay area. Beyond Electrical, Metropolitan has an industry leading communications department and DAS/wireless department that service San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. We are actively seeking a highly organized Project Engineer in our electrical department for full time employment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend bid walks. Attend pre-con meetings if needed. Upload job information and documents to online websites. Assist with creating RFI's, change orders & submittal packages. Interact with customers and general contractors. Will assist Project Managers with ordering materials, schedule management, contract review and job cost reporting. Update MS Project Schedules. Constantly communicate with field personnel regarding status of various jobs/sites.

Skills and Abilities:

Talented organizational and time-management/multitasking skills Self-motivating and creative problem-solving techniques Ability to present information in oral, written, and graphic form Excellent communication, email, and phone skills. Proficient in Bluebeam, Adobe, Procore, ACC Autodesk, & Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, etc.) Knowledge of construction drawings, principles and techniques a plus Foundation software experience/knowledge a plus

Education and Experience:

At least (2) years of experience in the construction industry or a recent graduate from a 4-year university Construction Management Degree a plus
