The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager and Superintendent to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. Icon West is looking for someone that is passionate, motivated and looking to grow within the company and utilize the support our team will provide. Essential Functions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities The project engineer assists the project manager and QC manager with the planning and daily execution of the construction project, in addition to spending time "on site" supporting the superintendent. Responsiblities include, a
  • Managing and coordinating submittals, approvals, RFI's, CCD's, etc. b
  • Reviewing items with subcontractors and client c
  • Assisting QC manager with Inspection Requests d
  • Overall office and site support Knowledge, Skills and, Abilities Good knowledge of public construction processes Familiar with ProCore Understanding of Subcontractor contract agreement.
Assisting Project Manager in the review and coordination of special provisions programs. Managing the Bim coordination with MEP and Subcontractors. Responsible for organizing and managing documents relevant to the project. Responsible for proactive administration, reviewing of all submittal data and shop drawings. Able to oversee and effectively communicate when presenting plans, RFIs and conflicts to clients, colleagues, architects, engineers, and consultants. Ensuring all clarifications, changes, directives, RFIs, etc., are communicated. Ensuring materials are delivered on time. Keeping project manager updated on the progress of the project on a weekly basis and ensuring coordination with the project schedule. Able to provide alternate suggestions for completion should there be roadblocks and other impediments to the project's progress. Maintaining professional relationships with owner, client, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support the Company's core values and customer service. Able to make informed decisions to help progress the project. Assisting with subcontractors, claims resolution, and follow up on warranty related items. Closeouts Qualifications Ideal candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience working on public construction projects. Degree in engineering or construction related field.
